A Buyer's Guide to Forest-Friendly Lumber and Paper Products in NS

Wood from an FSC Certified Acadian Family WoodlotForest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification is a stamp of approval guaranteeing the wood or paper you are using comes from a well-managed forest that meets environmental and social standards. The Ecology Action Centre, the Sierra Club of Canada, the David Suzuki Foundation and many other environmental groups endorse FSC.

We have compiled a list of woodlot owners supplying everything from kiln-dried, planed lumber to firewood, all of whom belong to the Acadian Forest Families, part of the Nagaya FSC certification pool. Their members donated FSC-certified lumber to the Ecology Action Centre office – we thank them for their support.
